Choice of cutoff levels- standard or NextGen Precision Testing

NextGen Precision Testing

The platform that raised the drug testing industry standard.

Our retrospective analysis of over 46,000 anonymized patient results concluded that industry standard cutoff levels are not appropriately set to identify a significant number of positive test results that were otherwise being reported as negative. False negatives can ultimately cause prescribers to doubt their patients’ adherence to a prescribed regimen or result in a missed opportunity to intervene in the case of a missed unexpected positive drug test result.

This analysis was the incentive in launching the NextGen Precision Testing solution. This solution was developed to improve clinical data through statistically derived cutoff levels that optimize technological advances in LC-MS/MS, giving healthcare providers the best possible information to improve patient outcomes.

Oral Fluid Testing (OFT)

Providing a urine specimen may be challenging for some patients or in certain clinical settings. OFT can be easily observed, is non-invasive, and provides accurate real-time data.

Precision Drug-Drug Interactions (DDI)™

A dashboard within Precision Analytics displays metrics for patient drug-drug interactions, including DDI level classification, DDI drug contribution metrics, and drugs not ordered resulting in missed DDIs. Precision DDI™ promotes better patient outcomes by providing the option for new dialogue between clinicians and their patients in order to decrease the illicit utilization of life-threatening drug combinations.

Drug interaction descriptions for Precision DDI™ are verified by Elsevier’s Gold Standard Drug Database (GSDD) and are also available to providers as a no-cost report enhancement option on all formats of Precision’s Test Reports.

Billing

Precision Diagnostics is committed to complete pricing transparency,
demonstrating that integrity makes a difference when choosing a laboratory partner.

We are enrolled in Medicare and in all Medicaid programs. Our fee schedule matches Medicare’s clinical drug testing tiered billing structure for CMS and self-pay patients who do not have medical insurance. For most commercial health plans, Precision bills at approximately 1.5 times the Medicare Fee Schedule, clearly listing our pricing model on every Test Requisition Form.

We are proud to be in-network nationally with most major insurance companies, along with more than 200 state and regional plans throughout the country. At Precision we consider ourselves stewards of healthcare dollars and continuously work to obtain in-network contracts with commercial health plans. We know in-network is preferred, as it is the most patient-friendly option and the option most preferred by providers.
